Prepayment by credit card and subsequent confirmation by Back to Nature Tours (NZ) Ltd is accepted as confirmation of your booking. All cancellations made from credit card bookings will incur a 5% charge.
Your credit card will be charged 100% of the tour price and your place(s) reserved as soon as your details have been submitted. Please note that if you choose to pay by credit card online, there is an additional ‘booking fee’ charge.
Our online booking system is safe and secure, and a receipt will be issued to you immediately. Your credit card details are encrypted. The final payment, if any, will be made approximately 8 weeks prior to the tour if you have purchased a ‘customized product’ directly.
Rates quoted are in New Zealand dollars (NZD), are valid from 1 May 2025 to 30 September 2026, and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (currently 15.0%).
Re-booking is available at no extra cost if availability permits. Back to Nature Tours Limited will provide a full refund (less a 5% transaction fee) or credit for cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to the tour departure time. If a tour is cancelled within 24 hours of departure, we reserve the right to charge up to 100%.
If you are onboard a visiting cruise ship and are unable to make it into Port Chalmers due to mechanical or adverse weather conditions, we will fully refund your tour.

Back to Nature Tours (NZ) Ltd management and guides accept no responsibility for loss of, damage to, or theft of personal belongings (owner’s risk), or for any expenses — including medical and transport expenses — arising from personal accident, injury or illness.
Back to Nature Tours reserves the right to change any itinerary in the interest of safety, comfort, weather and any other unforeseen factors.
